Valley Oak Charter is seeking a highly motivated and passionate teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with homeschooled students and their families. This position combines classroom teaching with the ability to work collaboratively with parents to implement the home learning program.
As a teacher at Valley Oak Charter, you will work with families to design and implement personalized learning plans for each student. You will collaborate with parents and students to ignite a passion for learning. You will support life-long learners and provide opportunities for students to pursue personal interests and make choices about activities and goals.
We are looking for a candidate who is committed to supporting and empowering Valley Oak Charter students and their families.
Required skills include but are not limited to:
Current California Teaching Credential
Supporting parents to implement the home learning programs
Monitoring on-line education programs
Supervising students in both classroom and non-traditional settings
Bringing your own interests and passions to share with students
Working collaboratively with a teaching team
Experience with multi-grade teaching
Understanding and experience implementing of common core standards and SEL
